“There is no trouble so great or grave that cannot be diminished by a nice cup of tea.” — Bernard Paul Heroux
Whenever I got sick my mom would make me a cup of tea and serve it to me with a piece of cinnamon raisin toast with butter. It never failed to make me feel better, but, of course, that might also have been because of a mother’s love. I do suppose, though, that this favorite memory is probably what inspired me to look into healing herb teas when I was older. My mom truly believed the tea was what worked!
Back in those days the only tea we had was Constant Comment with honey and milk. That’s black tea with orange rind and some sort of spice, something I still love but tend to avoid because of heartburn. So now my cup usually has some sort of herbal blend and I still find it just as soothing, if not more so.
For me, a cup of tea is a daily ritual. It’s a great way to start the day and, sometimes, I find it a great way to end the day, as well. In the evening it’s Chamomile, Red Rose Petals, and Oat Straw and Oat Tops. SO relaxing before bed, especially combined with Oat Milk or a little dairy milk—I’m yawning just thinking about it as I write this post now!
During the day I tend to choose based on taste or desire for health and healing support. It never fails to help me feel better.
Visit the tea ingredients section of my shop or try one of my herbal or black tea blends. All organic, of course.
